Details

Captain Cook's discovery ship, the HMS 'Investigator,' (1811), moored at Somerset House, London on the River Thames. Converted into a police-station in March 1837, on 19 April 1842, she sprang a leak and sank, the seven police officers on board were rescued, eventually in October 1857 she was scraped.
