Sophie, Duchess of Hohenberg and wife of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, who visited England in the autumn of 1913 and was received by King George V and Queen Mary at Windsor Castle between 17 and 21 November 1913. Sophie was not received at many European courts due to her status as morganatic wife of the Archduke. Her and her husband's assassination in Sarajevo on 28 June 1914 sparked the First World War.
