Edward VII (1841 - 1910) shown at his desk in his study. Dubbed, 'The Uncle of Europe' and also, 'Peacemaker', Edward was a skilled diplomat and was instrumental in cementing friendly relations with other nations, particularly France and Russia, who were to form the Triple Alliance during World War I.
