Description Electrocution of an elephant
Details

Topsy the elephant electrocuted in America. Topsy was a domesticated elephant at Luna Park, Coney Island, and had killed three men, including an abusive trainer. The strength of the current used was 6600 volts and Topsy had previously been fed three carrots laced with potassium cyanide.
