Ellis Ashmead-Barlett (1881-1931), British war correspondent, pictured at his typewriter resting on ammunition boxes after the landing at Anafarta, writing a despatch. His reports on the Gallipoli campaign for the Daily Telegraph, praised the Anzac troops and criticised the British commander, General Sir Ian Hamilton.
