Ernest Aldrich Simpson, the second husband of Wallis Warfield Spencer, who became better known by her married name, Mrs Wallis Simpson, and whose third husband was the previous Edward VIII following his abdication. Ernest was born in New York, but later became a naturalised British citizen.
