Illustration by Annie Fish to illustrate Letters of Eve in The Tatler. The eponymous Eve is walking out with her Uncle Fred who 'always aggressive, is now simply unbearable since he got his NEW khaki armlet. Added to his special-constable and volunteer armlets, it invests him with an atmosphere of war activity which quite places an ordinary hero back from the front in the shade'.
