Details

Various exhibits in the Dome of Discovery and the Shot Tower at the Festival of Britain, South Bank, London. Top left shows a reconstruction of Captain Cook's ship, Endeavour. Top right shows a tribute to Sir Isaac Newton's contributions to astronomy. Bottom left is a replica of the Greenwich time ball used by Thames shipping to check the time. Bottom right shows the interior of the Shot Tower, using silver globes to show how molten lead was dropped to form shot.
