Description Explosion seen from Charing Cross Station 1883
Details

An explosion as seen from Charing Cross Station, taken from a sketch by an eye witness showing flames pouring out of the tunnel towards shocked onlookers. The explosion took place between Praed Street and Edgware Road when the train was traveling from Charing Cross to Westminster. The wounded were taken to St Mary's Hospital to be treated.
