This engraving depicts Sukkot also known as the Feast of Tabernacles which is a Jewish holiday celebrated over one week that comes five days after Yom Kippur (day of atonement). Sukkot is a celebration of the gathering of the harvest and is to commemorate the years that the Jews spent in the desert on their way to the Promised Land, celebrating the way in which God protected them under the difficult desert conditions they had to suffer Sukkot are hut-like structures that Jews are expected to live in during this holiday.
