General view of the Festival of Britain site, South Bank, London, looking down the River Thames from Big Ben. From the right can be seen County Hall, the Dome of Discovery, the Sea and Ships Pavilion facing the Nelson Pier, the Charoux bas relief sculpture 'The Islanders', the Skylon, and the Festival Hall and old Shot Tower just beyond Hungerford Bridge. In the distance can be seen St Paul's Cathedral, where the service of dedication was held.
