The Empire at the Palace: a one-and-a-half mile world's tour. The Festival of Empire at the Crystal Palace (held from May to October 1911), featured the All-Red route, a tour by specially-built electric railway and mechanical boat, around reconstructions of various parts of the British Empire, and past buildings representing the Overseas Dominions. 1. Ground for Outdoor Spectacles; 16. Amusements Ground; 16a. Wait and See Tower; 17. Small Holdings and Country Life Ground; 18. Old English Fair Ground; 19. Boats and Fisheries, House-boat and Motor-launch exhibition; 20. Empire Avenue.
