The Empire at the Palace: a one-and-a-half mile world's tour. The Festival of Empire at the Crystal Palace (held from May to October 1911), featured the All-Red route, a tour by specially-built electric railway and mechanical boat, around reconstructions of various parts of the British Empire, and past buildings representing the Overseas Dominions. 1. Canadian Building; 2. Indian Building and Bazaar; 3. Australian Building; 4. New Zealand Building; 5. South African Building; 6. Newfoundland Building; 7. Grand Truck Railway Building; 8. Tudor Castle and Street; 9. Part of the Amphitheatre; 10. Scene of the Pageant of London; 11. Floriculture Section; 12. All-Red railway line; 13. Medieval Maze; 14. Sports Ground; 15. Ground for Outdoor Spectacles; 16. Amusements Ground; 16a. Wait and See Tower; 17. Small Holdings and Country Life Ground; 18. Old English Fair Ground; 19. Boats and Fisheries, House-boat and Motor-launch exhibition; 20. Empire Avenue.
