Fetish man in ceremonial costume in a village on the Gold Coast (then part of the British Empire), West Africa. White clay has been used to paint lines on his body, and he wears pieces of iron threaded on cord round his ankles. He holds a reed brush in his right hand and an axe handle with feathers attached in his left.
