The first women barristers in Ireland, 1921. Miss Frances 'Fay' Kyle is pictured on the left, with Miss Averill K.S Deverell. Women became entitled to qualify as lawyers in Ireland and Britain, as well as in other professions, following the Sex Discrimination (Removal) Act of 1919.
