Florence Mills (1896 -1927), born Florence Winfrey, American cabaret singer, dancer and comedienne. Pictured while appearing in a Charles Cochrane revue at the London Pavilion called 'Black Birds' and featuring an all-star cast of black artists. Her costume is for the 'Jungle Nights in Dixieland' number.
