Florence von Sass (1841 - 1916), Hungarian-born orphan, British explorer, the second wife of Sir Samuel W Baker and explorer, published in Samuel Baker's obituary. Lady Baker, sold to Sir Samuel Baker as a slave whom she later married and accompanied on various expeditions, notably around the Nile. Baker was an abolitonist and campaigned to end the slave trade in Africa.
