Playing with a specially made white chrome ball, lit by powerful electric lamps on thirty masts: ladies football teams on the Burnley cricket club ground during a match. The Dick Kerr Electric Company of Preston(in black and white striped kit) and Heys of Bradford(in white jerseys) played their ladies teams, under artificial lighting supplied by the Siemons Lamp Works, with cables and fittings supplied by Dick Kerr's Works.
