Reproduction of a poster advertising a new magazine, Fragments, edited and contributed to by Captain Bruce Bairnsfather who found fame during the First World War with his cartoons and character, Old Bill, in The Bystander. Fragments was launched by The Bystander as a new vehicle for Bairnsfather and at just 2d., but aimed squarely at an ex-serviceman readership.
