Staff of the French Embassy in London posing for a commemorative photograph at the time of the Anglo-French treaty or the Entente Cordiale in 1904. Initiated by Edward VII, the agreement aimed to resolve disputes over colonial territories but also ended centuries of dispute and conflict forming a lasting Anglo-French alliance. The French Ambassador, Paul Cambon, a signatory, is seen middle, bottom row.
