Gaby Deslys (1884 - 1920), French actress, music hall artiste and sometime lover of King Manuel II of Portugal, takes a wounded soldier for a ride in a motorcyle sidecar. Gaby was one of the most popular entertainers of the First World War, and involved herself in a wide variety of charity work and morale-boosting activities in Britain.
