Feature in The Tatler, 25th May 1949 : Giorgio de Chirico exhibits at the Royal Society of British Artists. Italy's great Modernist painter, turned traditionalist, is welcomed to London. The top image shows de Chirico varnishing his painting The Three Graces, at the Suffolk Street Galleries. The lower image shows John Copley, President of the R.B.A. speaking at the luncheon of welcome.
