Front cover of The Graphic newspaper featuring a photograph of a damaged and de-nosed statue of Kaiser Wilhelm II which had become dislodged, ironically, during a German air raid over London. According to the caption, 'this trophy of Teutonic turpitude was discovered under some ten feet of debris in a North London building, a popular pre-war resort of Germans.'
