Henry Jules Sherek (1900 - 1967), theatre manager. Responsible for bringing to the London stage 'The Affair' (1961), 'Boys in Brown' (1947) 'Under Milkwood' (1956) and T.S. Eliot's 'The Cocktail Party'. Served in the Rifle Brigade in both wars, retiring in 1944 with the rank of major. Married the Hon. Kathleen Boscawen, sister of Viscount Falmouth in 1937. Keen golfer and gourmet.
