Details

Two Highlanders leading their helpless officer from the battlefield - a scene captured by the famous French artist, Georges Scott during a visit to the British front. The picture appeared opposite an appeal by Raymond Blathwayt in The Graphic to raise funds for the Blinded Soldiers' Children's Fund, a charity set up as an extension of the already successful work by Sir Arthur Pearson at St. Dunstan's Home for Blinded Soldiers and Sailors.
