Caricatures of the players in Hit the Deck at the London Hippodrome in 1928 including Stanley Holloway and Ivy Tresmand (centre figures). Bottom right is Sidney Howard the comedian, top left is Alice Morley with her friendly parrot, Lucky Bird. The Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News comments that, 'management at the Hippodrome are, incidentally, proposing to take a strong line with any high-spirited persons who may feel disposed to create a disturbance in the house on boat-race night.'
