HMS 'Campbeltown' (left) speeding towards the gates of the 'Normandie' dry dock, St. Nazaire, March 1942. HMS 'Campbeltown' was used as an explosive ram on the gates of the Nazi controlled dry dock, to prevent the use of the dock by German battleships. This image was drawn by Captain Bryan de Grineau from a description given to him by J. Gordon Holman who was present at St. Nazaire.
