Description HMS Poseidon amazing escapes by G. H. Davis
Details

The amazing escapes from HMS Poseidon, stage by stage. The British submarine Poseidon was sunk on 9th June 1931 after colliding with the Chinese merchant steamer SS Yuta. It was fitted with Davis Submarine (or Submerged) Escape Apparatus which six of the men were able to use to escape from the forward end of the sub and survive. The diagrams show the stages of the escape, coordinated by Petty Officer Patrick H Willis.
