The launch of the British submarine, HMS Poseidon, a P class sub, launched on 21st June 1929 at the Barrow-in-Furness works of Vickers-Armstrong. Poseidon sank on 9th June 1931 after colliding with the Chinese merchant steamer SS Yuta in the Yellow Sea.
