Level-crossing accident to a Kings Cross bound express from Cambridge, was approaching Shepreth Station at a speed of 55 to 60 m.p.h. when a motor lorry, attempted to cross the level crossing immediately in front of the train, the lorryman and locomotive fireman where killed.
