During a Home Guard intensive training course at Osterley Park, in the west London suburbs, a car pulling a trailer, supposed to represent a tank, crosses a landmine which is exploded from a distance. For obvious reasons only a small quantity of black powder is used in the carrying out of these demonstrations.
