Colour illustration by George Ernest Studdy (1878-1948) showing his cartoon canine, Bonzo, driving a vintage car, looking indignant at the canoodling couple in the back seat. Studdy created Bonzo for The Sketch magazine in the early 1920s. He was hugely popular with the character spawning a range of merchandise from plush toys to ink wells.
