Description | Impressions and Personalities at the Florida Club |
Details |
Scenes in the Florida Club in South Bruton Mews where, 'the glass floor creates an effect quite unlike anything else in Town.' Caricatures by Hynes include, top left, the secretary Captain J. Drummond and bottom right, Quagline, the maître d'hôtel (quite possibly Giovanni Quaglino, founder of Quaglino's if a mis-spelling or somebody else entirely!). At the top of Abdullah who dispensed cigars and read palms apparently!
