The inauguration of the London Museum: their Majesties' visit of inspection to Kensington Palace, 1912. The new London Museum (later the Museum of London) was informally opened by King George V and Queen Mary, who paid a long visit to the collection at its temporary home in Kensington Palace and inspected the exhibits, many of which were associated with the Royal Family.
