Interior of portable hut for Royal Irish Constabulary in County Mayo, Ireland, used for temporary lodging when the armed police are sent into a district where there has been unrest. The hut lodges seven men, sleeping in hammocks, with a stove for cooking, and can be taken to pieces or put together again in a few hours. This one is in Newfield, near Newport in the county of Mayo.
