Description | Invention - Carron's Cone |
Details |
Mr. Carron, an engineer from Grenoble, France, invented a contraption that allowed humans to experience the sensation of a free fall of 300m! To achieve this, he conceived a bullet-like capsule with a height of approximately 10m, that contained a round room, 4m high and with a diameter of 3m. In this room, 15 comfortable chairs were to be placed in a circle so that victorian daredevils would suffer no inconvience from the fall.
