Italian soldiers charge and capture a position on the Isonzo Front, the scene of battles between the Austro-Hungarian and Italian armies between June 1915 and November 1917. The Italians are wearing specially designed breastplates and shoulder pieces which resemble the armour worn by ancient Roman soldiers.
