Jacques Heim (1899 - 1967), French fashion designer. Born in Paris, Heim took over his parent's furrier business in 1923 and began designing women's clothes for the firm until 1930 when he established his own couture house. Particularly well known for his swimwear and beachwear, he is one of the designers credited with the introduction and promotion of the bikini.
