John Michell (1661?û1739) - made a bequest to Queen's College, Oxford in gratitude for the shelter given by Queen's to his father and uncle during the Great Rebellion. His benefaction funded eight fellowships, four scholarships and ú2,000 towards the rebuilding of the college.
