Joseph Chamberlain, Colonial Secretary (centre with monocle), entering the House of Commons to loud applause from the Government benches, 16 March 1903. Chamberlain (1836-1914) was just returning from a a foreign tour and interrupted George Wyndham (centre, also standing) who had just risen to answer a question.
