Description | Kamerad in the Air by William C. Boswell |
Details |
An aerial battle on the Western front with a German squadron seen in retreat with the last one (bottom right) being pursued by a British antagonist on her tail. Having possibly run out of ammunition the German gunner puts up his arms in surrender after which point the British planes permitted him to make a safe landing near the British lines as a prison-of-war. The Tatler comments that, 'the incident may account for some of the undamaged Boche planes which are to be seen at some of our aerodromes.'
