King Alfonso XIII (1886 - 1941) visits the victims of the bomb outrage. King Alfonso XIII of Spain married Princess Ena of Battenberg on May 31st 1906. The victim of many assassination attempts and threats, the king's wedding day ended in tragedy when an anarchist, Mateo Moral, threw a bomb at the couple's carriage as it was proceeding from the Church of San Geronimo in Madrid. The royal couple escaped injury, but 20 people were killed and around 80 injured.
