King Faruk(1920-1965) and his bride at the banquet given at the Koubbeh Palace in Cairo: an occasion when Queen Farida discarded the veil she had worn during the marriage ceremonies. King Faruk was not yet 18 when the marriage took place; the couple divorced in 1948.
