Description King George V at the unveiling of the Cenotaph, 1920
Details

King George V stands facing the Cenotaph during the unveiling ceremony on Armistice Day, 11 November 1920. Facing him are his three eldest sons, the Prince of Wales, Prince Albert and Prince Henry. Also present are the Duke of Connaught, the Marquess of Milford Haven (Prince Louis of Battenberg) and Lord Louis Mountbatten. After the unveiling, the King and the royal party followed the gun carriage bearing the coffin of the Unknown Warrior to Westminster Abbey.
