American prohibitionist, William 'Pussyfoot' Johnson (1862 - 1945) (centre, underneath skull), being carried into King's College, Strand, by a large group of King's undergraduates on 13th November 1919. Johnson was kidnapped as part of the Student's Rag, largely due to his prohibitionist stance. Unfortunately, when the London Police attempted to rescue Mr. Johnson from the students, missiles were thrown and Johnson lost an eye.
