Police arrive to disperse a ladies Land League meeting in Ireland. On such occasions, the ladies were often able to evade punishment by claiming the purpose of the meeting was to act as a political prisoners aid society. The only action able to be taken by the police was to take a note of the names of those present and report them to his superiors.
