Description Lady Constance Stewart-Richardson, WW1
Details

Lady Constance Stewart-Richardson (1883-1932), daughter of the 2nd Earl of Cromartie, society figure, danced and promoter of the healthy benefits of exercise. Her husband, Sir Edward Stewart-Richardson was killed in action in 1914. Lady Constance opened a dance studio in Chelsea and she is pictured outside it demonstrating exercises which would improve the strength and fitness of munition workers.
