Portrait of Lady Howard de Walden, formerly Margherita van Raalte before her marriage, founder and President of Queen Charlotte's Ball, the highlight of the debutante season. She revived Queen Charlotte's Ball in 1925. Pictured during the First World War when she founded a maternity home for officers' wives.
