Hazel, Lady Lavery (1886 - 1935), formerly Hazel Martyn and second wife of the celebrated portrait Sir John Lavery who painted her portrait hundreds of times. A renowned beauty, she is pictured here at the time she was involved in organising the Victory Ball at the Albert Hall to mark the end of the First World War. All proceeds from the ball were devoted to the Nation's Fund for Nurses.
