Miss Laurette Taylor (1883 - 1946), American actress born Loretta Helen Clooney, pictured appearing in various scenes in the play, "Out There," written by her second husband John Hartley Manners, who had also penned, Peg O' My Heart, the enormously successful play in which Taylor had starred in London. "Out There," told the story of the war and the 'noble part women have played in it.' Consequently, she is pictured as a nurse and taking on various cleaning jobs. The show ran at the Frolic Theatre, New York in 1917.
