Lily Elsie (1886 - 1962) popular theatre actress and singer an star of 'The Merry Widow'. Born Elsie Cotton in Yorkshire, Lily Elsie became the most popular actress on the London stage, and appeared at Daly's Theatre. She is pictured here, with her very sweet dog, at the time she was starring in 'Pamela' at the Palace Theatre, to great acclaim.
